Mardi Gras Bash 2006

Thursday Feburary 23rd

Check out the Baton Rouge Night Life!! (For those that get into town on Thursday)

Friday Feburary 24th

Chapters just arriving can head to the hotel. We will be there to greet you. For lunch, we will be going to Chimes Restaurant near campus. Here you can get a true taste of Cajun cookin'. You can try alligator, etouffee, or a huge bowl of gumbo. After lunch, take a tour of the LSU campus. Friday night we will have our Masquerade Costume Ball.

Saturday Feburary 25th

The bus leaves at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Before we leave, enjoy another Louisiana favorite, king cake. And on the way to New Orleans, we will make our stop at the grocery store for all the Mardi Gras supplies you may need. Just remember that glass containers are prohibited in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, but plastic ones are perfectly legal. The trip to New Orleans is about an hour long, but it is always interesting. While in New Orleans take in everything Mardi Gras and New Orleans has to offer: Bourbon Street, the Riverwalk, French Quarter, and so many great restraunts. Saturday night you can catch the largest and best parade of Mardi Gras. Just be warned that you will have more beads than your neck can hold. But now that you have your beads, it is a great time to head to Bourbon and maybe lose a few! Just make sure you make it back to the bus on time.

Sunday Feburary 26th

Sunday will close the weekend with a brunch and an awards ceremony.
