What exactly is a "krewe" and how does it work into the theme?

A krewe is the group in the parade, and their names are usually based on Greek and Roman gods, such as Orpheus, Zeus, and Aphrodite. Each Mardi Gras, the krewes choose a theme and dress accordingly. Examples have been King Arthur’s Court, Disney Characters, and Broadway Musicals. Your chapter should choose a theme for your krewe and wear your attire to the Masquerade Ball.
