    About This Website

The site is intented to be a website that doesn't require much work by a webmaster (self-sufficient). This will help to ensure that the site does not get out of date. The way it does this is to allow certain users when logged in to change the data held within a database on the web server. Any information on the database can be password protected. Right now the only things that require web type updates are design changes to the site, pictures to be uploaded for photo albums or the brother profiles, uploading agendas and minutes, and assigning user ids and passwords.

Logging In Actives, Alumni, Initiate and out. If you do not see your name on the brother page please contact the secretary or webmaster and we will add your name if you are not currently listed. Everyone's user name right now is the first initial of your first name and then your last name. Then the default password is the fraternity's secret word. Once you log in, it will ask you for a different password (change your password). Log out will sign you out. The log in allows you to password protected pages or update the site for those with permission to do so.

The list of brothers that are entered into the database right now are shown when you click on brother profiles from the brother menu. If you click on the name of a brother it will show you their profile. The profiles can only be altered by the historian, secretary, or the person whose profile it is. The list of alumni and intiates are the same way. Once logged in go to your profile and click on update to edit your profile.

The list of officers shows the list of current officers and their e-mail address (their e-mail address will only show up when they have entered them in their own profile, updated by them or the secretary). This is what determines who controls the site and who can edit certain things. This can only be altered by the secretary.

Under the alumni menu you will find alumni newsletters, alumni profile form, form to join the National Alumni Association and how to get onto Gamma Theta's Yahoo Alumni Group.

Family trees are viewable if you have the flash plugin. You can download the free flash player direclty from Macromedia by clicking here. You'll be able to see your entire family tree back to the charter members. You will be able to jump right to your profile in the tree and start moving around (Coming Soon).

You can find out what tests the Scholarahip Committee has in the ExamBank and download them straight from the website. You can search for tests by the class code (ie, BIOL for Biology classes, ACCT for Accounting, etc... LSU's abbreviation for classes) or by Instructor.

Web Maintenance is where the information can be updated. Found under the sign in button. Secretary is the only one that can change the officers. The attendance can be updated by each committee head and the secretary to control their respective event types. The test archive can only be updated by the scholarship committee head.

The calendar can be updated by the e-board and e-council. If you hoover over an event, it shows you a description of the event. If you click on the day number it takes you to the details of that day and allows updates, deletes, and additions to that day. The calendar will track what user makes the changes.

The guestbook is the same old guestbook type thing. But this one does have the option to put smiley guys on there and bold the words. Click on the help link to see how to do that.

There are links to National and Local documents including Forms & Manuals, National Constitution, Anti-Hazing Policy, Chapter Bylaws, Parliamentary Procedure, Meeting Agendas & Minutes, etc. Found under the Documents menu.

Gamma Theta Store shows the things we have for sale right now.
